Robin Edgar is a professional writer with over 30 years of experience as an actress, mime and storyteller. As a writer, she specializes in profile, lifestyle and feature articles of a positive nature. Her writing class at the John C. Campbell Folk School in North Carolina inspired her to teach reminiscence workshops for bereavement programs and for individuals wishing to record family histories. Hearing so many stories about surviving the Great Depression, she interviewed 100 people for a museum exhibit at The Charlotte Museum of History, a book with CPCC Press and a documentary with PBS affiliate, WTVI. Edgar also co-authored a book about making art from recycled plastic containers with her husband, David Edgar, a contemporary craft artist. Her books, In My Mother's Kitchen: An Introduction to the Healing Power of Reminiscence, Personal Legacies: Surviving the Great Depression, and Fantastic Recycled Plastic are available at local libraries and bookstores.
