The Healing Power of Reminiscence

"The Healing Power of Reminiscence" workshop uses the senses to recall significant memories to help participants recognize and value the individuals and incidents that shaped their lives. This creative process is an effective tool for finding forgiveness, building self esteem, planning long term care, and coping with loss due to illness such as Alzheimer's or the death of a loved one.

Workshop participants learn the following:
1. How to use sense memory to recall significant individuals and/or event form the past
2. How to record these memories in story form
3. How to develop personal rituals from these memories to celebrate life instead of dwelling on painful memories or loss.
